Welcome to Boston!

March 19th, 2009

Good morrow, you must be new to Boston Towne! Ye must learn about Boston before ye live here. Me name is Constance Billington, and I have lived in Boston since I was seven years of age. I am the milliner, and I mend and make clothing. I also buy clothing from other countries such as Italy, France, and of course England. I have wigs, gowns, stays, and the like in me shoppe if ye be interested in buying anything from me anytime soon. Come along, I’ll give ye some information before ye go!

King George has been taxing us on just about everything: tea, molasses, any kind of sugar, paper, and the like. Soon he shall be taxing us on every breath we take! Now he be forcing redcoats on us! The Sons of Liberty are meeting secretly. They used to meet under an elm tree, but lately they’ve been meeting in buildings. You’ve got to go? Oh well, see ye tomorrow!
